Most Annoying Premier League Manager: Poll Results

Here’s the result of today’s 12-hour poll. Who would have guessed that Arsenal fans would think Tony Pulis was the most annoying manager? But it’s a measure of how far we’ve fallen that Arsene himself is seen as nearly twice as annoying as Sam Allardyce. Because to be honest Sam Allardyce annoys the crap out of me, with his gum-chewing, his lardy face and his ‘I’m so great I should be managing Real Madrid’ bollocks.

I think those who have received most of the votes have got them for different reasons to each other. Pulis’s team play unattractive football, and of course there is the Shawcross incident, the baseball cap and the pronouncements of Pulis himself. Fergie probably just got most of his votes for winning so much, but signing RvP won’t have helped. Arsene is now seen by a proportion of Arsenal fans to be holding the club back, and his apparent stubbornness and resistance to change doesn’t help, not to mention the recent run of generally poor results.

At the other end of the scale five managers received no votes, including ex-Tottenham man Chris Hughton. The Chelsea and Spurs bosses received surprisingly few votes. Nigel Adkins of Southampton was picked on by two people – why? What has he ever done?

But I was glad to see that the man who inspired the poll, Martin Jol, got only one per cent. I have nothing against the Dutchman but @arseblog and @LittleDutchVA both claimed he was nothing more than an onanist, hated by all. Well fellers, he’s not. Just you two and five others.

I  would say I’d happily go for a beer with everyone who got fewer votes than Brendan Rodgers, apart from Chris Hughton. Brendan and everyone above him: nah, you’re all right, I’m staying in mate. Apart from maybe Arsene, just to tell him to buck his ideas up, and Alan Pardew, who would be boring but I reckon would stand his round.

So the results in no particular order:

To be fair, respondents could only choose one candidate. Do it again with a Likert scale and see what his score is.

  2. I am very surprised red faced did not finish top. He maybe the greatest epl manager thanks to the FA,refs and billions. The FA have helped by banning top players playing against him. The refs have a significant role giving key decisions in his favour ie sending off dangerous strikers and top defenders during his games. His billions have bullied Arsenal into selling RVP.
His condescending manner and arrogance towards other managers and teams have digusted all fans. That is why I hope he gets to the sf/f of the cl and lose. Hopefully by then Arsenal could have improved considerably and spike his dream of all out domination.
Imho,he is the most hated figure in the epl if not in Europe as well. Believe me, when he leaves the football world , inevitably the days of MU winning g ames all the time will become history. There is no need the reason for this.
